CEO Wataru Fukatsu
Biography
Wataru Fukatsu is a distinguished expert in data technology and the co-founder of Scalar, Inc., established in December 2017. Serving as the company's CEO, Fukatsu has been instrumental in driving Scalar's mission to enhance data technology and ensure secure, trustworthy data-driven societies.
Before founding Scalar, Fukatsu accumulated nearly two decades of experience at Oracle Japan, where he held various roles from April 1998 to January 2017. His extensive background in database management and enterprise solutions has significantly contributed to Scalar's innovative approach to data consistency and scalability.
Under Fukatsu's leadership, Scalar has collaborated with major enterprises such as Toyota Motor Corporation, co-innovating solutions for automatic proof preservation of large volumes of electronic documents, addressing challenges in long-term data retention and security.
Fukatsu holds a degree in Information Science from Nagoya University, providing a strong academic foundation for his career in data technology.
